As Usability Professionals in a product design environment we have to collaborate and work along with the stakeholders and while the User always remains the prime stakeholder; everyone on the inside within the organization is a stakeholder too! The Investors, the Marketing team, the Software / Engineering team, QA team & the Documentation team. Needless to say, each team has their deadlines and respective schedules. The Investors with their vision and money at stake, The marketing team - with their round the corner quarterly sales targets, the software team with their tight schedules and daily/weekly builds, the QA with their change-request schedules. I believe as a Usability Professional, with our constant focus on the user, our contribution also is to somehow Synergise with all teams, collaborate and find a middle path which leads to creation of a good product that meets the demands/schedules of the aforementioned internal stakeholders and at the same time provides an effective, efficient & satisfying experience to the User.
